 Public Awareness

 Parent Education & Support

PCA-JC educates the community about child abuse and community resources, and supports parent education programs in Johnson County. Currently, there is a parent education and support group offered through The Arc of Johnson County for families that include a child with a disability. For more information, contact Sheba Francis at (319) 351-5017.

WE’RE HAVING A BABY SHOWER!

PCA-JC is ‘adopting’ 3 new ‘babies’! We plan to be the proud caregivers of three baby dolls that simulate what happens when a baby is shaken or born with prenatal drug or alcohol exposure. These babies will be part of our public education activities to prevent child abuse.
To donate to the purchase and care of these babies, please

Picket Fence Fundraiser

PCA-JC collaborated with Home Ties Child Care to build a fence for Home Ties! The Picket Fence Fundraiser purchased fence pickets for the Home Ties playground and raised funds for PCA-JC. We are extremely grateful to all of those who participated!
